Overview
Van Fanel is the young and courageous king of Fanelia in the anime series 'Tenkuu no Escaflowne' (The Vision of Escaflowne). As the main protagonist, Van is both a skilled swordsman and the chosen pilot of the legendary Guymelef, Escaflowne. Driven by the destruction of his kingdom, he seeks vengeance and justice for his people. Throughout the series, Van forges deep bonds with other main characters, particularly Hitomi Kanzaki, and matures into a responsible and compassionate leader.
