Overview
Benisuzume Samari is a formidable antagonist in the anime series Sidonia no Kishi (Knights of Sidonia). Originally a human named Shizuka Hoshijiro, she is transformed into a hybrid Gauna-human entity by the alien Gauna after assimilating Hoshijiro's memories and appearance. As Benisuzume, she becomes a deadly foe for the Sidonia's pilots, especially Tsugumori, and plays a pivotal role in escalating the conflict between humanity and the Gauna. Her character highlights themes of loss, identity, and the blurred line between human and alien.
