Overview
Shamisen is a male calico cat that appears in the anime series 'Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu' (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). He is adopted by Kyon and temporarily gains the ability to speak due to Haruhi's powers during the 'The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina' episode. Shamisen often serves as a comedic element and, despite being a normal cat, becomes a key part of the SOS Brigade's supernatural happenings. His presence highlights the series’ absurdity and Kyon’s reluctant involvement in Haruhi’s world.
