Fang the Hunter, also known as Fang the Sniper in Japanese releases, is a recurring antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is a crafty and opportunistic treasure hunter, often portrayed as a rival to Sonic and his friends. Fang is a wolf/weasel hybrid known as a 'jerboa-wolf,' and is infamous for his cunning nature and use of a popgun. His main goal is to acquire valuable items such as the Chaos Emeralds, making him a persistent threat throughout the series.
