Aunn Komano is a komainu (lion-dog) youkai from the Touhou Project series, first appearing in 'Touhou 16: Hidden Star in Four Seasons.' She acts as a self-appointed guardian of both the Hakurei Shrine and the Moriya Shrine, watching over them to protect them from harm. Aunn is characterized by her earnest, loyal, and somewhat naïve personality. Despite her serious intentions, she is often overlooked by humans and other youkai. Her role is that of a gentle protector, sometimes providing comic relief through her innocent misunderstandings.
