Overview
Sougo Okita is a prominent character in the anime series Gintama. He is a member of the Shinsengumi, a police force in Edo, and holds the rank of First Division Captain. Known for his exceptional swordsmanship and combat skills, Sougo often displays a sadistic personality, especially towards his superior, Hijikata. Despite his seemingly cold demeanor, he is deeply loyal to the Shinsengumi and its members. His playful rivalry with Hijikata provides much of the series' humor, showcasing his mischievous yet endearing nature.
