Overview
Simon Petrikov, better known as the Ice King, is a recurring character in the animated series Adventure Time. Once a kind and intelligent antiquarian, Simon was transformed by the power of a magical crown, which granted him ice powers but slowly robbed him of his sanity and memories. As the Ice King, he becomes a lonely and eccentric figure, often kidnapping princesses in hopes of finding companionship. Despite his antagonistic actions, he is a tragic and sympathetic character with a complex history.
