Ohana Matsumae is the spirited and independent protagonist of the anime series Hanasaku Iroha. She is a high school girl who, due to her mother's sudden decision to run off with her boyfriend, is sent to live with her estranged grandmother at a rural hot spring inn called Kissuiso. Initially struggling with the transition from city life to the countryside, Ohana's tenacity and determination shine through as she learns the ropes of working at the inn.
