Penguin 1-gou is one of three mysterious blue penguins that accompany the Takakura siblings in the anime series Mawaru Penguindrum. Sporting the number '1' on its back, Penguin 1-gou is assigned to Shoma Takakura, often mimicking his actions and acting as his comedic sidekick. Despite its silent demeanor, the penguin is expressive and becomes entangled in the siblings' bizarre adventures. Penguin 1-gou provides comic relief, contributes to the surreal atmosphere, and sometimes assists in critical moments of the story.
