Lovino Vargas, better known as Southern Italy or Romano, is a main character in the anime and manga series Hetalia: Axis Powers. He represents Southern Italy and is the older brother of Feliciano Vargas (Northern Italy). Romano is known for his tsundere personality: he appears grumpy, easily annoyed, and uses harsh language, but he cares deeply for his loved ones. Throughout the series, Romano often finds himself in comedic misadventures, especially alongside his brother and Spain, his former caretaker.
